British actor Joe Freeman is set to star as Luke Ellis in the upcoming TV series The Institute, an adaptation of Stephen King's 2019 novel, which is due to be released in 2025.

The 19 year old rising star, who's the son of Martin Freeman and Amanda Abbington, has been pursuing his acting career since leaving school. The MGM+ thriller marks Joe's major TV debut, having previously appeared in a one off episode of Doctors in 2024 and a Tunbridge Wells stage production of Everybody's Talking About Jamie in 2023.
